Spirituality

I was not born into any religion as such although my family believed in god they did not force the religion upon me. They wanted me to find my own religion and beliefs. When I was about 11 – 12 years old I started going to church and I had believed in god to an extent but there were lots of gaps in my beliefs because there was parts I never understood or believed. When I was 13 – 14 I was not a very stable person I was very depressed. I started searching for the Jedi path because I thought it may make me a more positive and better person.

I trust in my feelings for knowledge of right and wrong. If I feel I shouldn’t do something then I wont do it, however if I feel it is right I will do it. This to Jedi in my previous study is called the will of the force. Trusting their feelings as the force gives us knowledge of right and wrong through or feelings. If we do what we feel is right we are fulfilling the will of the force, but if we chose to do what we feel is wrong we are going against the will of the force.

Death to me is not the end. When we die we walk the path of death. Death is but another path we must take just as we took life. I do not believe that we come back to life but I rather believe we become one with the force. However I do not believe we should interfere with death as we should let it come naturally and not interfere with its natural course.

I do not believe in god or heaven and hell. A god to me is the force but heaven and hell are not in my books. I do not believe this as people say god chooses death for all people so if a person is murdered how can the murderer go to hell if god chose them to be killed? To me it doesn’t make sense. This is why I believe in the force and that when we die we just become one with the force.

Spiritual practice to me is when a religious person who does certain things such as meditation to improve the spiritual side of themselves. Spiritual practices are ways of improving yourself and strengthening your beliefs. I practice meditation to strengthen my connection with the force and to keep myself positive and take out any negative emotions.

That is always an interesting debate between religion and spirituality. I won’t expand on it much here, but I think you’ll find this course very interesting!!!
