Mr Kelighan
Mr Kelighan was my RMPS teacher in school. When he first came to my school and I saw him there was something curious about him. The minute I saw him I had some feeling about him. I didn’t know what or why I just knew there was something. The first lesson I had with him I had the same feeling but not much more information on him. After a few weeks I got speaking to him in class about my wrestling and he said he did martial arts and all. After that we started speaking often and he became my favourite teacher because we talked about similar things. Eventually I needed some advice from someone and I knew I could trust him. He helped me out and he became more than just a teacher but a friend. I look up to him he is kind to others, he is good for advice, very peaceful funny person. He is someone I can go to for help and I like that about him. He is very peaceful and caring.
I would very much like to be like him have the same kindness and love for things. I can see the potential in me and I know that the Jedi path will help me be more peaceful, caring, loving etc. Having these qualities would help me create more peace in the world and be able to be of better service to others.
Obi-Wan Kenobi
Although he is not a real person the character I still look up to. Obi-Wan has such care and love for people I would love to have it, He treats an apprentice with such care like he was his own son. I would love to be like that. I would love to be able to pass on my knowledge to someone and have a bond like father and son. Obi-Wan also has a sense of humour and everyone needs that. Obi-Wan is also very wise and that is something I long for.
By being patient and learning from others I can become a loving, wise person who will be able to help and be of service to people. I hope one day to take on an apprentice and my Jedi path will take me there. Having these qualities would make me a better Jedi and keeper of the peace. Hopefully I can do this.

These are good initial assignments. I have a general question. Do you normally go quickly through tasks? I’ve noticed that while yes, you do what is asked of you in an assignment, you are going so quickly that you aren’t challenging yourself to go deeper in thought. You’ll get as much out of this class as you want. You’re already starting from a fairly aware perspective so this is a chance to go deeper.
The way the brain works is that we have our conscious mind which is where we are used to thinking. It can give us quick answers, but it’s got a limited perspective on the world and on our self. Our subconscious has a larger perspective – it is the part of us always connected to the larger perspective of the Force. And this does not work quickly or loudly. It requires that we give it time to stew on ideas and questions. It requires us to get still and silent so it can be heard over the loud chattering of the conscious mind. I want to see you slow down. Give your subconscious a chance to get involved. Go deeper, take your time. I don’t want to see any more assignments for a week. Instead I want to see you thinking more about these last two lessons. Really digest them, give me something new, a perspective uniquely yours. I’m confident you’re capable of it.
